Offshore VR training simulation for the energy industry

This simulation was built to showcase the potential threats that can occur on board an Offshore Oil Drilling Rig. Users are asked to perform a number of tasks that could potentially put them in simulated dangerous situations. The challenge is to make the correct decisions under the circumstances.

Example: A user is asked to walk to the Helo Deck to assist with the unloading of a helicopter that has just landed. However, there is an active crane with a weighted load overhead. If the user takes the most direct path and walks under the load, the load will slip. It only takes one time for a user to be “crushed,” even if it is simulated for them to remember to do the correct thing.
